My friend Christophe has found his love with the help of Internet. True to say, Christophe was one of the old school fans. He didn’t accept all new technologists like mobiles, Internet, electronic books, iPods and so on and so forth. He was absolutely sure, they are harmful for people and he tried to avoid these stuffs. He read paper books and there was a typewriter desk in his room. And it was very difficult to find him – he had no cell phone and no even a pager. Sometimes I thought that God sent him to the wrong century. And there was a reason of his behavior – he was bringing up by grandmother. But it was only one of million versions.

But Christophe had a weak point. He had a passionate attachment to some girl. Her name was Courtney. And he was fallen in love with her for a long time. He silently looked at her, admired with her, dreamed about her and he has never done any step to get acquainted with her. Yes, they didn’t know each other. He was in the shadow. He was afraid of making first step. He was too shy. Several years he only merely watched after her. They lived in neighboring house. And all his friends were familiar with his situation and have scratched their heads over how to help him. Once upon a time Christophe’s friend Scott – a computer whiz – told to Christophe that Courtney keeps a blog in the Internet. It was a good chance to get to know more about her, but he didn’t want to listen to it. He was dedicated enemy of the Internet and he resisted for a long time, but one day he gave up. He was so obsessed about Courtney that he refused from his views. He bought a computer and signed up on the site where Courtney kept her blog. Every day he read everything what did she write. Now, he knew everything about her: why she broke up with her last boy-friend, where she would spend her summer holiday, what flowers did she like, her favorite story and so on. Once upon a time Courtney wrote that she likes one of her neighbors. She considered him so mystery and interesting for her. And she wrote that she would like that this guy comes up and get acquainted with her. And there she described his appearance. It was Christophe. When he read this, he couldn’t believe his eyes. It was like a bolt from the blue. After three years of silent, he finally put foot down to open his feelings. Now, they date and happy together. And Christophe very obliged to his old enemy that is not his enemy any more – the Internet.
